From November 11 to 12, 2023, the 2023 Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Society of Journalism History was held in Guangzhou. The theme of this academic annual conference is “Theme of the Times, Future Outlook: Research on Chinese Modernization and Journalism and Communication History”, which discusses major issues in the construction and development of Chinese journalism and communication under the background of Chinese modernization. In the “Journalism and Communication Academic Masterpieces” promotion session of this conference, the selection results of the first “Journalism and Communication Academic Masterpieces Promotion” plan were announced. A total of 19 works were selected nationwide in this selection. Among them, there are 6 outstanding works and 13 excellent works. Professor Han Hong (pen name Han Hong) of our school’s paper “The Establishment and Dissemination of Tibetan Newspapers and Periodicals in the Himalayas in the First Half of the 20th Century-Based on the Investigation of European and American Archives” was rated as an “Outstanding Work”.
