Professor Han Hong attended the release event of  the International Seminar on Two Decades of the Sadharanikaran Model of Communication and gave speech.

On 11th August 2024, the Proceedings of the International Seminar on Two Decades of the Sadharanikaran Model of Communication (ISBN:9789937170543) has been released officially. This event is organized by the Department of Languages & Mass Communication, Kathmandu University School of Arts, Hattiban, Lalitpur.

The publication features a collection of research papers, panel discussions, and special remarks on various themes that delve into the model’s application, comparative analyses with other communication theories, and its prospects in the coming days.

Professor Han Hong, the committee member of Pan-Himalaya communication research center presented speech on the event.

Han congratulated the success of this seminar and expressed his deep impression of the efforts made by the school and staff in promoting Sadharanikaran Model of Communication. Han believes that this model allows Eastern communication scholars to rethink the development context of Eastern and Western communication studies, thereby carrying out research rooted in the regional cultural soil.

It is precisely because of the common understanding of this concept between the University of Electronic Science and technology of China, School of Art and the Department of Languages & Mass Communication of Kathmandu University that the two parties will carry out more in-depth cooperation in the future.

At the same time, Han also hopes that the 2nd Trans-Himalaya Communication and Social Development Conference to be held at Kathmandu University in Nepal in October will provide scholars from all over the world with the opportunity to focus on new communication contexts, pay attention to the differences between Eastern and Western communication concepts, and formulate regional theories of communication.
